OMG! WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH COLLEGE ADMISSIONS?
Here is the best I can say – no one knows! It has been a very strange year indeed.
Application numbers are higher than anyone could have imagined. UCSD had a 5% admit rate and UCLA a 4.5% rate!
And the privates? They are just starting to come in. So what does this all mean? Simply put, it means that there are no guarantees in life, no matter how much we think we deserve them. The sticker on the back of the car may not be from your dream school – but herein lies the problem.
You need to have a long list of DREAM schools!
There are almost 3000 schools in this country – I bet you could find at least 100 that fit the category of DREAM!
And to be honest with you…where you end up really has nothing at all to do with what will happen to you in life because that is completely in your hands, under your control. Which schools will accept you? That is under their control!
So let’s start thinking of 100 possibilities…fall in love again and again… and enjoy the process along the way! AKALA can help you!
